Thanks to you all for the suggestions. I am a new owner (of an older 911 cab) and first post here. There is also another post about winter storage that was helpful. From all the suggestions, here is what I have done (and will do when the time is right):
1. Purchased ctek model 3300 charger-$54.03
2 Purchased ctek cig 'cable'-$10.23
3. Purchased 3/8" thick x 48" wide rubber mat (cut to 18"), then in half for $23? at Tractor Supply. Someone said Porsche mats go for $300.
4. Purchased Sta-bil 32oz gas additive-$13.99
5. Already have cover.
6. Set mouse traps and pellets, placing tin foil and SOS around garage door ends (someone told me they spent $1k to rewire from mice chewing up wires!) to keep critters out.
7. Will over inflate tires.
Did I forget anything?
Thanks,
TSU

I'll add 2 more:

8. Suspend some of your insurance coverage to save $$
9. Secure car keys someplace safe....home safe.....safe deposit box

Thanks lexvan.
Yes, I have USAA insurance (thanks to all who served with Veteran's day tomorrow) so can suspend until the time is right.
In our house, keys are always a problem! Will incorporate your recommendation.

Wait.....

10. Take a picture of the car and make it your home image on your phone and computer.

11. Make your PSE ringtone.

This is what I do to my 09 911 Winter storage

Fill with gas ( no additives )
Overinflate tires to 50lb
I remove the battery due to no electrical outlet to plug trickle charger in
Park tires on rubber matts

That's it. No Winter driving......short trips will not get the car to hot operating temps.

This is when I'm so glad I live in south Florida...

Winter driving for me means using my sunroof.

And in the summer you're so hot and humid you keep the roof closed.

I like winter. Skiing. Snow shoeing. Ice skating. Ice fishing. Snowmobiling. Make a snowman. Build a fire. Drink hot cocoa.

Save the $$ on the rubber mats. Go to your local carpet store and get 4 samples. Free and work better.

Yeah. Honestly, I've always simply overinflated tires, put nothing underneath, and never had any problems.

Your profiles says you live in CA though?! Us northern types have another damn polar vortex to deal with. Crazy things happen to cars when its below zero multiple days in a row.

Has anyone used one of those CarCapsule's? Would keep the mice and dust out? And you would know if a mouse chewed into it, by the leaking air.

Very valid point, I've never had a car in long term storage in a sub-zero environment.
