Good luck. As a fellow 50th owner I am curious to see how it goes.

Indeed. What's the replacement likely to be.. or do you have already?

What do you think the Cayman GT4 will even be though? The full 350 HP from the base carrera engine? A blown 4 banger with 360? A detuned Carrera S with 15-20hp taken out?

That and Alcantra with center locks at a 6 figure price point doesn't seem like it could hold a candle to a 50th.

And there's no way it's getting the 9000rpm GT3 motor.

I'd love one, but apparently they're holding their values extremely well so I'll have to wait a decade or two

The GT4 should get the 3.8 400hp Carrera S motor IMO.

Just my 2 cents, but if you are serious about moving this car, you should consider lowering the price. But if I were you, I'd keep it. I can't imagine the Cayman GT4 will look nearly as nice and I doubt it will be as fast, though I've never liked the Cayman styling.

PK996C2, Your 50th is automotive perfection.
You should keep it.
However, if tejstar01 is right and the GT4 really does get a full 400HP Carrera S engine I would be tempted to trade into one also, but mostly because I like the Cayman rear trunk.

Any idea how much lighter a GT4 is than a 50th?
Also what size rear tires can a GT4 fit?
I believe your 50th, with those wide hips, could fit a 335-30-20 (Corsa, PZero, PSS, PS2) and match a GT4 on the track.

It's all kind of confusing when you've got it listed as a feeler, and then a sale, then a lowered price but no indication of what that price is (was it the original price with the updated post?).

Just sayin'... I'm not a buyer, I've already got a car, but a potential buyer might be confused. But hey, if you're really serious about selling it, Rennlist ain't gonna do it. Put it on autotrader and eBay, and price it to move. This is a tough time to sell a sports car, even one as pretty as that one, and with a proper manual transmission no less! GLWS.

Well at least this answers the thread asking if the 50's are going up.
