I'm an April build now, taking ED until 5/18/15

carmine is a flat paint, it would not have that liquid/metallic look
You are correct, at least to my eyes. Carmine doesn't look anything like those pictures.

Default Carmine, guards, amaranth red

Could someone put a picture of amaranth red up against the others. I think it would be in between the carmine and guards, and also metallic. All nice colors.

+1 but you can buy a replacement SD or SD cup splitter for around $190 and get that painted matte black.

Yap! Oh BTW, looked at your GTS built, it is going to be an hawsome one. I canceled my GT3 and thinking of building a GTS also.

curious why you are thinking of changing from the GT3 to the GTS coupe?

If I wasn't in the market for a DD/weekend car that appealed to my wife, I would be getting the GT3! (but this way I get to keep my 997.2 which I love)

Decided to keep my no nanny GT3 and built a DD/Week-End but nothing to do with my wife , simply because I am disappointed with the 991 GT3 as it stands and also I don't track much anymore so no need as I get older.

Good man! - pretty much the same motivation as me ... BTW I love your username ... being head of a 3 dog household I am sometimes referred to as
"Le Grand Chien" ...

enjoy your GTS! ...post your build!

p.s
I have a SD cup front splitter waiting at home for my car when it arrives ... I will get it painted matte black

Will do when I'm decided, sometime next summer.

Gros Chien is BigDog French translation, meaning the one that always wants to be ahead of the pack!. I've been nicknamed by my riding buddys in the mountains (BC) on my snowmobile and snowbike

I was told by the dealer the diff. in price is because my car will have 10 years paint warranty while the GTS paint only has a 5 year warranty. Does this sound right to any of you? Also, the pics. of this GTS look almost metallic, at least on my computer, please tell me its a solid color, as I ordered. When I saw C.R. on a Cayanne (sp?), it was a darker and a little more subdued red than G.R., and not metallic.
Geez, that stinks. When Carmine Red for the GTS was first announced, I immediately wondered how folks who had paid the $5500 premium for it via color-to-sample felt. The fact that your car has been bumped back only adds insult to injury. Don't blame you for getting out of it.
