At 1:45 of the first video, the presenter tells that the sidelights and the blinkers will also be "dark" lights, not just "clear" lights. Will the US buyers still get the yellow sidelights, nonetheless?

The Getawayer is a tall dude with glasses and a heavy German accent.
Good video that explains well the differences between the S and GTS.

I find it ironic that, if I were ordering a GTS, I would want to eliminate or replace most of the items they mentioned as design elements specific to the GTS. Specific items that would have to go would be... the black wheels, alcantara on the seats, dash and doors, GTS logo on head rests, black aluminum interior trim pieces, and black grills on the back. Unfortunately, it would be cost prohibitive to eliminate the black lights.
I guess I don't understand Posche's infatuation with black. Black wheels have been so over-done.

I wonder if the grille strip is interchangable with the 4 reflector?

Yes, that's the guy, the Getawayer. He's a good reviewer. But Porsche gives him only two cars a year to review. He's quite objective: he sometimes criticizes some aspects of the Porsche cars, while other times he praises their good aspects. I prefer him to some other professional reviewers like Chris Harris.

This all begs the question, if Porsche can give us a GTS options package at a price so discounted it makes X51 practically a freebie, then why can't they do the same but with leather and without all the letters?

I too am at a loss here. Porsche obviously decided from the beginning to take an options package and call it GTS. (A really nice options package, but still, nowhere near deserving of a whole new model name.) Then they decided GTS is to be the "sporty" version, and that they would accomplish this, not by giving the car any actual new performance options, but by instead making it look like what your average wanna-be thinks of as high-performance. You know: black, fabric, letters, etc.

Probably not, for two reasons; 1) a new GTS is more than I am willing to pay for a car and, 2) a few years from now, my odds of finding a used GTS that has full leather and 5-lug wheels in a color I would want are probably pretty slim.
But don't misunderstand, I really like the mechanical and technical parts of the GTS. I just don't care for the way Porsche decided outfit the non-functional parts of the car. I think they tried too hard to work some retro design in the car and ruined it aesthetically. In this case, form did not follow function.

Yeah thats definitely not a Getawayer review... Just posted on his channel.
His GT3 review is what convinced me to trade in my C4S. I'm now waiting for my GT3 to be delivered late December or early January.
