Porsche 991 Targa with black matte wrap
from the article:
The latest Targa hasn't received the media exposure it deserves which is a shame taking into account many consider it as one of the most sought-after 911 derivatives available. Munich-based Print Tech decided to give the 991 Targa a new look by applying a matte black paint job while the silver targa bar has remained standard. They also smoked out the headlights, installed clear white taillights and replaced the stock wheels with a Fuchs set.

Maybe its just the pictures, but I think the wrap makes the car look smaller and cheapens it. I have seen wraps in other colors that look decent, but the make black doesn't do it for me.

That picture looks distorted. Not a huge fan of matte finishes. I like shiny cars. The Targa is such a cool package.

Not so much for the black matte wrap - angles and shadows in the pics make it look like it's a jacked-up 4X4!

I used to love the look of matte black cars but that look kind of got spoiled here in LA. I do think cars can look nice and unique with some of the high end wraps and some of the matte paint jobs from MB and BMW look great. My personal favorite matte look Porsche is this 997 in matte blue.

my experience has been that it ain't easy to get the 50th anni wheels on a Targa.... my Targa arrives at Brunswick on Wednsday.... I asked the dealer to put the 50th anni wheels on my car and initially they told me they were incompatible size-wise. so I asked another dealer; same reply. I went online to discover that the standard wheels that come on the Targa have identical dimensions to those of the 50th anni wheels. Dealer finally agreed to put them on for me. Porsche in Deutschland must really push their US distributors to discourage Targa owners from installing the 50th anni wheels. Can't figure out why.... bringing the Targa back to it's original look and not offering Fuchs wheels seems so strange to me...
