C2s 991 lease expires in april considering my options

pricepoint of Carrera now objectional for a dd- rules out r8/sl63/911/i8

thinking

1-e63s nice performance but bland packaging
2-c63s don't know much about it yet
3-tesla-d cant deal with no exhaust note or umblical cord
4-m4 bad bad experience with service of this brand vowed NEVER to purchase again
5-audi rs models looking dated
6-c7 vette hearing complaints on build quality
7-f type r worry about dd reliability in NYC environment
8- boxster- great car but I had a 911 it would be a wimp out
9- c2 -see above comment

I'm in the same boat. I want a daily driver but am thinking that the price has become too high to get another C2S. I might look at a CPO C4S and am even considering a Macan Turbo. The Audi is due for a redesign next year. I really enjoyed my RS4 before the 911. Good luck

DD in NYC? I wouldn't consider any of these. I would get a Macan.

Time to test a bunch of cars and see what you like. It should be fun.

If you like how your C2S drives, the AMG cars are going to be a big adjustment although the new C63 is supposedly better. If it going to be a lease, long term reliability is less of an issue.

The new M3/M4 are getting great reviews. Perhaps a different dealership might give you better service?

Why not buy your leased car? I didn't see that listed in the options.

The C63 is a monster like the E63 with torque. Handles not exactly like a brick but compared to the 991 S...

Do what the other guys have said and drive a few cars. I repo'd my wife's Escalade from her after she wrecked it twice and couldn't keep the gummy bears and Goldfish outa the carpet. I hated it. Even for a year. Had nothing to do with it getting only 10mpg. If you are not a truck guy you may not be able to handle going from a car to a truck (suv). Drive to confirm.

I'm thinking that a nice, CPO 911 S would be right up your alley. Sub $90k car and a warranty to outlive your NYC drive warfare.

Let us know what you do!

Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT. You can get in one of those for under $100K.

+1 on Macan S... Ordered one today as new dd as my current dd lease expires in March. Was told it will be ready in feb.

MSRP was 60k (felt like a bargain compared to my 911) and they gave me 2k off as I just bought my 2014 C2S from dealer in May.

Why not continue to lease a 991? Short term leases are quite reasonable. Also, Porsche has very aggressive pull ahead programs which allows you to get a new one practically every year!

Far from it. The last few years porsche has had 12 months pull ahead on 911s. Once your within that window you can turn it in, lease a new porsche, and Porsche waives whatever remaining payments are left. I just turned in my 991 cab after only 15 months, picked up a new one. Just got my papers back, $0 due on remaining 12 payments.

If you were silly enough to put a big down payment on a lease, then yes this would be a horrible option. However, since I never put money down its a great deal. I get bored with cars so this is an ideal situation.
