Default for canada...GTS build

if you go straight through the porsche canada link, the GTS will not show up...you have to pick whatever is on the screen and then once the build popout displays, you have to hit the "< Models" Tab just before 1. Exterior and it will then show up...weird

so in canada it starts at $130,300 and if you're considering adding powerkit, it doesn't make sense to not look at the GTS.

base S is $112,800 and powerkit is $20,320 which gets you to $133,120. if the powerkit is really not a driver then the combination should be exactly what you're looking for otherwise you're paying for:
  • the wheels and CL (you can get standard S wheels painted black for a $0 credit but factor $3200 for turbo wheels)
  • sportdesign front apron ($3,420)
  • PSE ($3,370)
  • SC ($2,120)
  • some alcantara bits (~$1,500??)
  • brushed aluminum in black interior package (can't order in black but regular stainless is ($960)
  • black exhaust tips (N/A but $300 budget)
  • black engine grill (N/A but ~$500?)
  • black headlights (by themselves, $1,730 but $820 if you get premium pack)
  • sportdesign mirrors ($690)

so without the powerkit, its ~$18,000 in options. whether or not you want that combo is a different story...

Priced out the car I would have ordered before a C4S. And this is minus the front apron, nicer wheels, Engine grill, x51 and black headlights and it was only 7600 less. Basically get the nicer stuff plus the extra 30hp for 7.5k. Not a bad deal. Only thing I wish you could have is delete the model and have just 911 there but not a deal breaker for me.

What I been saying', its a nice options package. Why oh why they have to call it GTS when it is really just an options package is beyond me. It would be SO much better if they would just make a few more options packages and allow people to choose. But I'm sure Porsche already knows the answer to that one- people have been so trained by Porsche to equate letters with a better model that most of them won't notice that in the case of GTS it really just means "options package."

really the only thing unique is the black interior steel trim (which i think is pretty sharp and will definitely be getting from Suncoast when it comes in...) the wheels and the rear grill but thats it!!!

i definitely agree that it SHOULD be categorized as a special edition but it wouldn't have the same panache (and i am saying that as though it rhymes with apache)

I would only add that it's also a lot of Alcantara - for those who want it - and more importantly, with the exception of the 50th anniv. version, an opportunity to have a wide body RWD...unattainable otherwise with a base C2 or C2S

Having the wide body on a RWD platform makes it a little unique - you can't have that as an option on the other Carreras. So not necessarily just an options package.
