I agree. A cabriolet is way easier. No washing. No waxing. Blow dry with leaf blower. Sticky tape every couple weeks. Every other year do 3-4 light coats of Ragg Topp.

Hi, nice post. I also started out looking for a Cayman GTS, then quickly realised it was the 991 I wanted and thought that the non-S would be fast enough for me. Believe me, the non-S is fast and it is a great car and you really can't go wrong.
However, then I test drove the S and it just has that little bit more torque at lower revs that, IMO, makes it even more enjoyable, especially in start-stop city traffic. So, although I will also not be spending any time on the track and I don't care too much about the higher top speed of the S vs the non-S, I still went for the S because of the slightly better torque curve.
I prefer the coupe over the cab but that's just personal preference. I think the yellow with black interior looks absolutely great. The glass sun roof on this color combo is stunning. Be careful though with the glass sunroof as I've been told that it lets through a lot of heat, even when fully closed. I removed it from my build for that reason (living in an extremely hot climate) and many people confirmed that this was a very good decision.
Enjoy the search-process and let us know which car you went for.

I recently purchased this 2014 Carrera 991 Coupe with an MSRP of $97,000 and negotiated a $9,000 discount or just under 10%. Black on black with glass sunroof and 20" Turbo Design Wheels. Personally prefer coupe's over cab's.
