Love bug removal
The love bugs are worse than ever this season and my 2S keeps getting plastered.
The best thing I have found to remove them to date is a Bounce dryer sheet. Simp ly wet it and rub over the bugs and they are gone. If they are really dried on, just let the liquid soak in and they will wipe right off. This may not be news to some, but to others it really works.

I've seen this trick a few times but it's mostly used on RV's with gelcoat.
My only caution would be that you are probably micro scratching your clear coat doing this. Even if the bounce sheet doesn't scratch it I would suspect it's not deep enough to keep trapped pieces of bug carapace from being rubbed across your paint. I would take a look under the sun just to make sure you aren't doing some damage to the paint.

Try a magic eraser. Just kidding...please don't! Dryer sheets are a no go if you care about scratching your paint.
I use these to get the left over love-bugs off after I get the dirt off the car.

The key with safe bug removal is dwell time and soapy water in a spray bottle. Bugs are mostly water and some protein. The soap just dissolves them.
Coating your clean bumper with a sealant like RejeX helps a lot too. Or OptiCoat.
Groits Bug Barricade is very good too.

well Chuck, I usually just urinate on the hood and let it soak for about an hour. Then I used 60 grit sand paper, wet of course.
BTW, I checked very carefully to see if the dryer sheets caused scratching before I used them. They do not, same for the Q5 and RS5.
