991.2 test cars??
Spotted this car on Tuesday going up the hill from Russian Hill to *** Hill here in San Francisco. Looks like a turbo. Don't know anything else about it except for what you see in the photos.

Yes, they have been spotted before in California. For example, in Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills last July!

This one is not the same one seeing in the video. No rear windshield wiper & different Georgia 'Distributor' plate & wheels!

They tried to mask the rear lights to look 997.2 inspired but the actual grooves look more rounded. It looks like the rear lights on the 991.2 will look more like the Macan rear lights.

Meh. Not worth the retooling IMO and the current ones look better than these anyway. Oh well the market demands change for the sake of itself I guess.

I agree...I hope they are the same sleekly slim size and shape, merely incorporating the 918 and Macan ( and C7 Corvette ) "3-D" effect and don't repeat the ungainly styling error , IMO, when they went from the nice, simple 997.1 rear lights to the 997.2's overstyled droopy -eyed trapezoids

No comment on how I drive in SF. All that I expect is you always ask yourself if you are needlessly slowing down the person behind you.
I also love the 991.1 rear lights as well as the rearlights on my former 997.1 to my current 997.2. I dig the LED's though.
I think the rear lights on the Macan give us the best clue on how the 991.2 will look. From the 997.1 through the 991.1, the top of the rear lights are defined by a primarily straight line that follows the top end of the rear bumper panel. That bumper panel has forced a hard angle on the previous 997-991 rear light assemblies.
Now look at the Macan rear lights and bumper panel line. The rear lights no longer follow that top edge. I think the 991.2 rear lights will be similar to the Macan. No hard angles that flow better with the sexy rear curves. If you look closely at the second and fourth photos that I posted, you can see how the Macan lights can fit in with where the body creases and taped panels are positioned. It looks like the rear light assembly is no longer confined by a straight rear bumper panel.
One more thing, this also separates the rear design more from a Aston Martin that the 991.1 looked similar to when I first saw it.

So from the video, as predicted 918/Macan style steering wheel, tweaked front and rear bumpers, tail lights, a couple interior adjustments, a few hp's added.
Nothing new so far.
Tell me that the unacceptable delay in the PDK when accelerating from stop is gone and all 2012 and up 991's can get the upgrade along with the GT3 steering programming, and you'll have my attention!

The spy shots of the upcoming changes to the 991 with plastic looking screens on the rear engine vents, threatened larger tail lights and slots cut in the rear quarter panels convinced me to order a 2015 991S. I think the present car is great.
As far as Swiss drivers . . . after spending 7 weeks in Italy touring around in my VW camper in 1989, I came out of a tunnel into Switzerland. First intersection were three other drivers all politely waving to the others to go first. After Italian drivers I though I had entered the twilight zone.
