how much fun is a car like this if an owner has to fret about wearing blue jeans while driving it on weekends ?
Ya know... I bought an old BMW 535is from a buddy who wore jeans every single time he drove the car, as did I. There was no excessive wear or any staining. I think it's a myth.

Now... if you are wearing a brand new pair of jeans and get caught in the rain and sit in your new car with those wet blue jeans, then yes, you may get some die transfer. I'll grant you that. But it will happen on any color seat.

I think that most people don't ever clean their cars. Especially the interior. They buy black because it doesn't show dirt. You know the other way to keep your interior from showing dirt? You remove the dirt. It's really quite simple. It's called cleaning. All it takes is a damp cloth every-so-often, just wipe down the surfaces. You can also use a fine interior cleaner to help remove any stains or heavy dirt.

If people would spend half the time cleaning the interior as they do the exterior, we wouldn't have these kinds of discussions.

White is no different than black - they both receive the same amount of dirt. The difference is that you can see it better with the white. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't also be cleaning your black seats. I also believe that clean leather will last longer and not wear as quickly. The dirt acts as an abrasive. And for those concerned that frequent wiping of the leather with a damp rag will remove all of the emollients and oils that keep the leather supple and soft, feel free to apply some conditioner afterwards.

Thanks! I'll have to remember to shoot you a note whenever (if ever) it comes time to sell it.

Me too - I've got Aqua + pebble/agate. Maybe the combo is rare and the values will climb...
We can always hope! Be sure and remind Sierramadre of this when I sell him my car...

most who post here would keep pebble pristine...but for the 90 % of 911 buyers who dont know or care that sites like this exist , they prob go black >> beige> dark grey > all other colors for 911 interiors

I had Linen leather on my first Porsche, in 1986. I would be afraid to see what that interior looks like today, vs identical car from that year with black interior maintained by subsequent average , non OCD , owners .

eduardo, starbucks is like a dirty word nowadays in rain city, owing to howard ousting our beloved supersonics to okc...though the stock has been a beast since 2009.

agreed! but i'm guessing most 911 owners are ocd, i've been in the market for a late 80s to early 90s 911, and surprisingly i've seen a few examples of oem linen interior that aged quite well. i'm hoping my 991 looks that good in year 2034.
