Espresso and cognac is the nicest color combo they've had in years.

I read that the 90% of Targa roof mechanism is shared by the Cabriolet roof mechanism, and hence that it's robustness is proven or it will be as robust as the Cabriolet roof at least. So don't be too nervous about it.

Thanks for all the kind words.
Only 130 miles so far, but a few early insights. With Targa closed, huge difference in solidity or rigidity to 997.2 cab. I drove a 991 coupe for a week, targa feels no different, a solid delight. Love the open air option, suspension, PSE, 18way seats, and LEATHER. With top open more buffeting, but not problematic. Such a lovely car with top open. Not news, but new PDK much smoother, more precise than 997.2 pdk. Driving in manual is a pleasure. Following break-in recommendations, so a lot to look forward to on the performance front. The car does get a lot of praise.

I totally agree. 'Espresso/Cognac' has taken the place of the 997's 'Natural Brown' leather interior as the most impressive interior Porsche has ever offered on a 911...in my humble opinion. The newly offered 'Black/Garnet Red' for MY2015 also ranks up there as an extremely elegant interior combination. In my opinion, both could benefit from ordering the carpet in a deviating 'darker' color - 'Espresso' on the former and 'Black' on the latter! That highlights the lighter color seats and door panels...and makes the interiors simply stunning on both of these two tone combinations!

Gotta agree on the deviated carpet. That was a late addition thanks to Rennlist.

Fantastic looking car Frank. I can't wait to see it in person at the Breakfast Club.

TJA1, Good to hear from you. When will you make another breakfast club? Got to hear about this track machine you are putting together.
