Leather Cleaning Log (nerds only!)
hello fellow nerds,
i've recently noticed that there was some schmutz coming from the recline lever on the front seats (both sides of the driver's). i decided that tonight would be the night that i would attack the unknown substance with my arsenal of liquids and sponges!
i decided to start with the leather master soft cleaner and if necessary, move up to the strong. on the left side, i was able to get most of the staining off with just the soft cleaner. on the right side, i used the soft and the strong and was unable to make much of a difference. i rubbed it in (tried to foam it up somewhat) but maybe i wiped off too soon.
i will try again tomorrow with more foam and let it sit longer and see the results.

Is that area even leather? Use a soft brush for better results.

i've got the 18way adaptive seats and i added the leather backs so i'm pretty sure..i think i screwed it up by not letting it sit long enough to do its job. it probably is a better idea as well to use a brush vs round sponge. the sponge will distribute it evenly which is not really the intent here. i'll foam it up on the sponge and then swipe off with the brush onto the area. thx for the tip

I've got the pebble gray/agate grey full leather interior, and I'm finding that the seat belt rubs against the seat and leaves a bit of a mark on the leather. Pebble gray is a very very light color. They should call it ivory, but that's too ordinary. It's not the die coming off of the belt, I think it's just from the friction. I can take a picture of it, since this thread is limited to OCD nerds...
