Default Engine grinding noise

my car is been at the dealer for a little over a week, cosmetic repair on my seats under warranty( which they don't want to cover) but also for a Grinding noise coming from the engine, after more then a week the S.A is telling me that they checked codes, all the fluids and basically all they need it to checked and found nothing, but the grinding noise is still present.

they told me that they sent Porsche Germany a PT or something like that telling them about the problem, because they don't know what else to do and Porsche needs to tell them what would be the next step, since they can't just open engines or stuff like they have to wait for there response, in case they send new engine, new clutch or whatever they come up with etc etc..

first time that this happens to me and this is my 6th Porsche and getting a little frustrated , anyways does this sounds like normal procedure?

thoughts please

thanks

btw 13 991 with 20k miles

When is the grinding noise? Idle? Acceleration? Normal driving? Is the noise in the engine? Gearbox?

ok when the car is in D or R with your foot on the brake you can hear it and also if you let the brake go, as soon as the car starts to roll you hear I think from the exhaust like the car was drowning,
it just when you let the pedal go, but that's the feeling as soon as you press gas will go away, not sure if its because all the noise from the engine

Check all lubricants for metal particles. Hopefully its bearings in a alternator, compressor,or water pump.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I just started hearing this same sound last week.

The car is at the service department, and I was able to replicate it for them there. They are getting no codes, etc.
