Full leather interior or 18way sport seats w/ SPASM

SPASM = more feel, better stance and handling due to shorter stiffer springs and stiffer roll bars.
Full leather = more lux feel.
You pays yer $$ and takes yer choice, and really can't go far wrong either way.

The two lips are so similar I can imagine there would be an issue, the GT3 crowd have been running cup aero lips for years without changing the rear aero with no attributed problems ... and those parts differ significantly from the 991 lips.

funny i was looking for a bare bones CPO 991 C2S but there are cars with tons of options and not much more.[/QUOTE]
Many of the cpo cars are lease returns and they tend to have about 20k in options.

it might actually not even change the DF, it could simply be to maintain the same airflow shape/volume under the car given that on S-PASM its 10mm lower ... although S-PASM deploys the rear wing (presumably either speed and/or mode controlled) further than regular PASM

I think porsche is willing to include about 20k in options toward residual value. So a 115k C4S seem to tip in at about 135k.

The cheapness for me isn't that there is no leather on the dash. In fact I think it's one more thing to worry about its upkeep, but rather that Porsche decided not to put the aluminum panel in the doors unless you spend $3k+ to get full leather. It makes the doors look like one big piece of black plastic. If it came with that aluminum piece to break the monotony, I'd be 100% content. I try not to go off too much on how Porsche charges for options, because it's business and people pay for it, but that's silly. Any car over $30K has a decorative piece on the door, leather or not.
By the way...I have 18 way seats and standard leather, and although I LOVE the seats (they hug you in all the right places, and the leather on them is unbelievably nice). I would def trade those seats for that little plastic strip and the full leather interior - FWIW

so i went to sit in a full leather interior this weekend, wasn't that impressed since the regular interior is already so much better than my 987.1 boxster - which is admittedly pretty low rent

I will throw in my .02 about the seats, 14 way seats are so good and comfortable and plenty for me, no desire to ever move to the 18 way. For the price range of these cars, the leather interior looks so much more finished and rich, and maybe I am crazy but I think the leather somehow sounds more tight and less road noise.

I had to make a similar choice. Decided that once the seats were set and I was comfortable, the 18 way seats would mean nothing to me. The full leather, on the other hand, is something that adds real class inside the car and I enjoy every time I get in. There is a big visual difference.
