Full leather interior or 18way sport seats w/ SPASM
#16
I would not own a $100,000 plus car without full leather. I drive car daily and enjoy the leather every day. I would hate to see the plastic doors knowing I paid that much for it. Of course others have their opinion about not wasting money on that but that is why it is an option so you cat it like you want it. If you look at both and like the interior of either - great. I have never sit in the 18 ways but I like my 14 way just fine.

I skipped full leather when I ordered my car and regret it. But I had a budget to stick to. But I did get SPASM which aside from handling benefits makes the stance MUCH nicer. Also I love the 18ways. I'd say if the 18ways are comfortable go with option 2. And if you go with options one put some aftermarket springs to get the SPASM stance though you miss a few other SPASM features.

I have the full leather and love it. The extra couple of settings on the 18-ways would be nice, but the 14s are great as is. SPASM is going to give you a lot stiffer ride, plus the ground clearance issues.
So I vote for #1. Some people like the stiff ride, so it's really your call.

thanks for the opinion guys, given my use of the car I am leaning towards option 1. going to scour my local dealerships to check out SPASM and full leather in person, the 18 way seats aren't a big deal to me as I'm fine with the 14way design in my current boxster.
funny i was looking for a bare bones CPO 991 C2S but there are cars with tons of options and not much more.

Is there any reason why a non SPASM car shouldn't use that lip? It's the only one I saw that they sell but I don't want to have to worry about any aero concerns, no matter how slight.

The cheapness for me isn't that there is no leather on the dash. In fact I think it's one more thing to worry about its upkeep, but rather that Porsche decided not to put the aluminum panel in the doors unless you spend $3k+ to get full leather. It makes the doors look like one big piece of black plastic. If it came with that aluminum piece to break the monotony, I'd be 100% content. I try not to go off too much on how Porsche charges for options, because it's business and people pay for it, but that's silly. Any car over $30K has a decorative piece on the door, leather or not.

I'd also appreciate a two tone option especially for beige and platinum, preferably for what it costs them to do: zero.
At least the new Cayenne is getting such an option. The glare from a beige dash is insane. Plus two town looks way better in every color except all black which of course can ways stand on its own.
