I think you should be able to tell what model a car is for the vast majority of 991s on the road.
Exhaust tips and calipers tell you if you're looking at base or S model.
Body shape (wide/non-wide) will determine if you're looking at RWD or AWD.
There are some exceptions, but the clues are there.

Agree completely. And that's why so many of us are de-badging 991s. I don't mind the model name, but Porsche has done a poor aesthetic job getting it all on the rear lid. The first gen Panamera had the same issue and Porsche fixed it with the refresh. So who knows what the MY16 911 will bring??
