Well, I could just as equally say that nothing gets done without a green light from accounting and finance. Why would they want to spend the dollars now, when they could wait another year-ish?

No horse in this race, but I think it sort of makes sense for PAG and PNA to stagger the introductions of "new" models (e.g. C2/C4 GTS, Cab GTS, Targa GTS) just to keep Porsche in the news cycle, and to get people into the showrooms.
When the 991 was launched, I'm pretty sure the techs had the C4 and TT figured out, but sort of delayed things just so that the TT wouldn't overshadow the C2.

Wow that targa turbo is gorgeous dammit you just made me probably have to spend more money! I would seriously guess that the GTS models would come first though IMO. Decisions decisions, thanks!
