Personally, if you are close, then leave it alone. For a street car, OEM is best IMO.
I like your thinking

After some reading and mindless clicking I ended up ordering 10/15mm spacers and H&R springs
Will update with pics after installing

When I had the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's mounted the 5mm spacers I had on the back were not enough. Went with 15mm and the result was perfect. Discussed going larger than 5mm on the front but was advised by multiple sources that going larger could result in steering issues. For now I'm satisfied with the overall results.

Spacers will cause your bearings to wear faster!

just want to be clear that for those running 7mm fronts and 15mm rears there are no rubbing issues?? this is for a 991.1S w/ SPASM and PDCC (not sure that last bit matters). Thanks!

Just wanted to bring this back from the dead. I have the Carrera Classic wheels on a narrow-body 991.1S. I really dislike how much the rear wheels, in particular, are "sucked in" on the car.

ECS has some great kits: https://www.ecstuning.com/Porsche-20...heels/Spacers/

Debating 5 & 10 mm or 8 and 12 mm.

They will also change your track and wheel rate. Spacers can change the feel and weight of the steering as you move the scrub radius at the front. Changing track will be subtle, reducing the wheel rate will be subtle and changing the scrub radius at the front might be felt with 5mm spacers.
The additional weight of the 5mm spacer will be close to negligible.

I could feel the steering difference running 10mm spacers of the front of a BMW M5 vs 12mm and definitely vs none (honestly !) I also found the balance and 'feel' seemed better when both front and rear had the same spacers.

The wide body Carrera increases the rear track for grip by 40mm or so from memory. So equivalent to 20mm spacers.

I went with ECS. 8mm up front, 10 in the back. Wanted 12mm but OOS and didn't want to wait. Still need alignment before pics but I think this is going to be my goldilocks stance.

Assume you are doing alignment because you want/need to ? Spacers will not affect alignment

Alignment is needed because I changed the springs out and nothing to do with spacers.
