Curious if you applied any film to protect the rear bumper cover area just in front of the rear wheels???

There was already a clear protective film on the car when I purchased it. I presume factory and very similar to web pic below. T

15mm on the rear. aftermarket. looks better. no real advantage other than aesthetics.

I also have 7mm front and 15mm rear. Luckily I've had little issue with chipping. I think if you live somewhere like the Northeast or an area with lots of gravel it may be more of an issue. But it does make the car look so much better in my opinion, especially because 911's get so much wider in the back. It accentuates it. If you ever look at a GT3 you see it has a much more aggressive offset as well.

Default Sport Techno with 12mm in the front 15mm in the rear

SPASM on 12mm spacers on the front and 15mm on the rear. I might go 12mm on the rear or even 7mm..I'll see how I feel about this setup

Slightly off topic, but what's with all the water heaters in garage area?

I love taking long hot showers JK.

I live in an apartment complex and all the hot water heaters are located in my parking spot.

Might want to look into Xpel or Suntek. OEM film isn't very good.

Actually I am referring to the area behind the rear wheel NOT in front of... With 15mm on the rears you'll get a lot of road rash along the underside of the rear bumper cover, where it wraps down under the side mufflers... At least that is my experience on my C4S. Sorry I wasn't clearer in previous post.

Jon, After coming with inches of losing the entire car a few days ago this https://rennlist.com/forums/991/880097-close-call.html has put a few stone chips in perspective. T

Agree with consensus that's its strictly cosmetic. Nevertheless, did mine this morning. Took about an hour. 7mm fronts, 15mm rears.

Thanks Tony (77tony).
