Porsche Rear Chrome Grill Kit
When I bought my 2015 911 C4S, I was really torn between it an a 50th edition. The main things I would have bought the 50th for was the rear chrome grill and the houndstooth seats. However, I really wanted all wheel drive for my first Porsche which wasn't an option in the 50th. I also wanted ventilated seats - also not an option. So, now I find the chrome grill mod on Suncoasts website.

Has anyone done this yet? Do you have any pictures? I was wondering if this would look silly on my C4S agate grey car? BTW, the dealer originally told me this couldn't be done, so to my surprise, it can!!!

I don't drive a 911, but I think that looks ricey. Just my 2 cents.

I'm debating it too. I did the chrome tip fins in the front and think they look great. My concern with these are - it's really the signature aesthetic of the 50th- people will ask , is it? The answer is no. I'm torn.

If you do the rear chrome grill, I think you should also do the front chrome air intakes for balance.
I did everything on my car to remove chrome and shiny surfaces. I did painted headlight washer nozzles. Black Porsche rear badge. & Ceramic coated rear exhaust tips in black. But that's just me.
Do what you want your car will look great.

I think it would look great with factory ducktail (the rear wing). I'm not so sure without the ducktail because the rear chrome stands out a bit too much to my liking.

I think it depends on the color. In their example on the website, the Guards Red one didn't look nearly as good as the White one.
Its retro in a good way though.

I think it'd look great on grey, silver, black, or white - but I just can't see this working on red, yellow, blue. The red example on that Suncoast page really didn't do it for me.

given how pretty this car is, I think its just GREAT how many choices are available to pick up after market on parts you didnt get on your original.
I have the 50th and the way ANY 911 is able to show the links back to the original 911 is stunning. I would go for it, because its really tasteful. (RICEY, REALLY? The GT3RS 2 foot aluminum tower for the rear spoiler is more ricey) The grill is 90% black with chrome hilites on the trailing edge. I would do the fronts as LexVan suggests.
Look at my front grills in the pic on my avatar. Does the chrome dominate the appearance? NO, its just an accent that is VERY well done. This is a Porsche not a Corvette.

I think it will look nice on Agate if you add the chrome accents on the front grills as well. I think the retro aspects of the car need to be complete in order for the look to be cohesive and "work."
