Default Sport Technos v "S" wheels

Pretty much the last thing to pick on my build. I see the Technos are wider and heavier, with 305s in the rear. For me the main thing is they look easier to clean
I did a search and didn't come up with a specific thread on this (I may have missed it). I like the look of both wheels. Either will be unpainted.
Pros and cons?
I'll be adding a separate set of wheels/winter tires but haven't chosen those yet. Suncoast has a great sale on summer tire/wheel combos but not winters (yet). Too bad I can't order winter tires from the factory!

I have the Carrera S wheels in platinum. I've been very happy with their ability to hide brake dust.

I bought my car off the lot, and these would not have been my 1st choice, though. If I had ordered, I would have gotten the Sport Technos, pained black.

I have the sport technos and love how easy they are to clean and keep clean. I discuss this extensively in this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/991/8042...otos-info.html starting in post #134

I think you will lover them!

Have a great weekend!

Sport Techno love:

Looks great
Easier to clean
Gets a 305 tire not a 295
Full color crests included in price
Can really see the brake mechanicals

i have black Technos and I couldn't be happier.
They are easier to clean with brushes and sponges since they're open.
I have noticed a couple small nicks in the black paint already (less than 2000 miles)

+1 on the Techno's. Very easy to clean and the best looking Porsche wheel IMHO. Don't worry about weight either. You couldn't measure the difference in the real world.

Yeah, I have sport techno's.. Painted with the painted black option..

I selected sport techno's (partially but also because I like the looks) because they are the widest spoke standard rim.. and I can fairly easily reach in and clean the inner rim part.

The outer spoke part is easy to clean.. Can pretty much just wipe them down.. Especially with the black painted part.

All in all I think they are the best looking standard OEM rims for a C2/C4..

Probably like all wheels my sport techno's look and feel a bit sand blasted after 14K miles.

Yes, the Sport Technos are a bit porky. I think they both look good. A bit of a tough call. Thanks for the input!
