With cell phones that can capture your license plate via a photo or video, you don't have to remember any plate, just take a picture or video of it. You see that everyday now. So whether you have XY12GH5 or EASY991, if they want to remember your plate, guaranteed they will take a pic of it. Add to that, lots of people now have dash cams.

As you can tell by my logon name I have a LEO background. I have several friends at the CHP and various local agencies, I can honestly say...NO...NEVER heard of it. doesn't mean it haven't happened, just not from my experiences

Promocop you can believe its a wives tale but I saw the 993 owners CHP letter. Again it wasnt a citation but a warning. AND I am not against it. I am just saying there IS an argument on the other side. If you drive on Sunday and dont do any spirited street driving then yea go for it. I enjoy reading them too. I just wont put one on mine.
