You can change the steering wheel out. You might need coding done to eliminate any codes

I was more interested in just swapping the wheel and not adding the MF stalk.

 

Why don't you just add aftermarket paddles? Mine are Techart.

Yes - neutral works and they function perfectly. The part that looks like the old “buttons” do nor have functionality or move. Just the paddles. I love it.

Were you able to do this swap without worrying about the column stalk or throwing codes? I have a multifunction wheel (no heat) and want to purchase the original sport design wheel for 991.1. I'm guessing the stalk is for toggling through the display screen to the right of the tachometer.

If coding is needed, though, so be it, I absolutely want the SD wheel !
