Mahogany Metallic 991?
I'm planning to order a C4S in Mahogany Metallic. In photos, this color looked the coolest and the most elegant, at least to me. But the problem is that I have seen it only in photos but never in person. Nearby Chicago-region dealers didn't have any in this color.
If you have seen a Mahogany Metallic 991, how was it? Your opinions will be appreciated.
Would it have a harder time to resell it later than the more common colors like Black, White, or Silver?
Thanks!

Three Wheelin'
I have seen Mahogany and although it's not my cup of tea, it is a beautiful color. Also - one man's opinion here - buy the car for your pleasure, not the next guy's. Resale is a crap shoot. Don't worry about it now.

seen it sev times in person...there is a bit of redness in it (thats the reason it is called mahogany ) and works best with the luxor interior and brown top
anthracite brown is sportier , imo., and works well with interiors of either luxor ( with brown top and oem anthracite painted wherls ) or black (with black top and oem black painted wheels)

Did the actual color look like this GT3 in the photos attached? Or did it have a more reddish tint?

That color seems to sit on the lot on the East Coast....my local dealer has had this one in inventory for some time now, but it could also be the way its optioned. The Sunroof delete could be part of that on what is otherwise a loaded up car.

I had a 981S in Mahogany/Espresso that I pre traded on a C4S order. It resold in less than 10 days.
It's a beautiful color and I thought it looked best with the brown top and Espresso interior I had. The second picture above nis closer, but the color varies quite a bit with the ambient lighting. It definitely has red undertones. I think it looks better in person than any photo I have seen and I got non-stop compliments on the Boxster S.
I wouldn't hesitate to order it again, but I didn't. So many colors, so few orders. Getting the C4S in PTS Brewster Green, as I haven't had a Porsche in green before.

No ducktail, since it can't be ordered separately from the front, which doesn't appeal to me. I don't expect the car to be in until late Fall at best.
