Lunarx, thanks! Tires don't last too long, so I will give them a try.

The Toyo RA1 was my favorite tire on my E36, hopefully they will come out with something similar that will fit.

Lunarx's, so you up sized just the fronts from 245 to 255 and kept the rears at 305 on your Sport Techno wheels? Do I have this right? Why? How do you like the change? Did it effect the car's front to back rake? Thanks.

I think the rake angle is about the same as 245/295, which is what I had before on SIII wheels.
With that stock set-up, it felt like the front was grip challenged, so I wanted to upsize the front.

I would get a 315-30-20, if there was one (other than R888 & NT01).
I thought a 305 was crazy overkill, until I discovered that the car oversteers.

I run pirelli Trofeo R's on 20" one piece Forgelines on my '14 C4S. SPASM, PDCC, PDK and stock (as delivered) alignment. Getting pretty even wear, excellent performance at 30 - 32 lbs. hot, and four or five track days per set. The Trofeo's are a track only tire for me, though they are respectable in the rain, so could be driven to and from the track.

If so, I do want to donate the 1 front tire.
A review from you would be great, since you have PSS now.

I agree, RA1 is the best dual purpose tire ever. They need to expand their size offerings.

Hi Lunarx, yep, I will definitely try the NT05's next. I will share my "review" after using the three, P0, MPSS and Nitto's. So far, I found the PO's good when new, but seemed to heat cycle out before they wore out. To date the PSS are stickier for for and nicely predictable. They are more susceptible to losing grip when over 40psi than the P0's were.

I do NOT recommend the Trofeo R's for a daily driven car. They are sensitive to alignment and like low pressures cold. Great track only tire but not great DD.

NT01's have fantastic grip and aren't senstitive to heat cycling but are loud.

MPSC's are silly expensive and wear fast. I have not had the experience posted above about not being very progressive at the limit. I found them pretty easy to deal with at the limit. Could be setup.

If you can get sizing that works, my absolute favorite street/track tire is the Hankook RS-3. Massive grip, great wear, no heat cycle sensitivity; decent in the wet. They are fantastic tires.

MPSS are very good also but tend to overheat on track. If you drive more in the wet, they are better than the RS-3's.

If you are tracking more and more, you might want to consider a separate set of track wheels with track focused tires. If you're new though, stick to street tires for now.

ChrisF, That is great info. I am considering a 265-35-20 RS3 or Rival paired with a 315-30-20 NT01.
Except, I dont really want the NT01 noise on the street.
I hope a RS3 or Rival rear option comes along.
I also wonder how the NT05 might compare. If it did not grease up as much as PSS that alone would be enough. Also, not sure how loud it is.

NT05 get very loud as they start to wear.
I also found they compound gets very hard as they wear, so less grip. RS-3 much better tire, but hopefully we can get them in the right sizes.

I just put on RS-3's: 245 front 305 rear (19's) on a 997.2 C4S. what cold pressures are people running for DE's?

I'm not sure what others might recommend but going as far below factory recommendations, as you can, without setting off the TPMS warnings, is a real good place to start.
For me that is 30/33, which I just set and forget, for all driving.
