Default Aquamarine Blue PTS?

I was looking at the latest approved PTS list (Thanks Eduardo!) and I didn't see a mention of Aquamarine blue.

Is that list the definitive word on what's possible or will Porsche take requests?

You can see what it looks like in this post - https://rennlist.com/forums/10909329-post65.html

Thanks!

Makes me want to order a few cars. I sure hope you didn't make me spend a bunch of money with this post. Great colors on these cars.

'Aquamarine' (non-metallic) & 'Aquamarine Blue Metallic' are both old 356A colors & on the latest list. Unforunately, both have apparently been tested and NOT approved for the 991 or 981. Interesting to note here that 'Aquamarine' was approved for the Panamera*. Attached is latest list I have with Jan 23, 2014 date. If PAG had not yet tested (approved/available or rejected/not available) Aquamarine, you could 'request' a PTS color on a vehicle via your dealer while the PTS ordering window is 'open'. Generally, they will not test a requested PTS color until they have an actual order for a car in that hue!

*You would think if it fails for 991/981, it would fail for Panamera since there can't be that much difference in materials used in construction. Maybe 'Aquamarine' actually works on a 991/981 but PAG is saving that color to offer it as 'standard' on the .2 991 facelift in MY2016. A possibility...but don't count on it!

Its a three model list. 'Guards Red' is not a Standard offering on the Panamera. Someone requested a Panamera in that color. Fade tests were done for the materials (plastic, steel, etc) on that model. It passed. And it was approved as a PTS color for that Panamera model. Since it's a Standard offering in the 991/981, its really not available (rather that '?') via PTS! That is what that line tells you!

Thanks for the info Eduardo. I guess it's back to the drawing board on colors. If anyone has a suggestion about a blue that isn't too flashy (Mexico Blue) and isn't too dark (Dark Blue Metallic) I'm all ears

Also, is there an approved list for leather to sample colors?

I would think you could still get Aqua Blue as a PTS now that it was replaced with Sapphire Blue?

I have a 13 Aqua Blue C2, weird that I have had it a year and it never looks dirty, my last 5-6 vehicles have all been black. This colour is probably my favourite.

Perhaps...but I never seen it or heard anyone at 'Porsche Exclusive' talk about a Leather-to-Sample 'official' list. The only 'leather-to-sample' I know that is currently approved on the 991 is 'Natural Brown'. The latter was a special/natural leather offering in the 997 which proved to be very popular with the Porsche 'cognoscenti'! That 'Natural Brown' availability on the 991 was confirmed to me by 'Porsche Exclusive'.

Ordering 'Leather-to-Sample' can be tricky (from design point of view) since all interior plastic trim will come in 'Black' by default. You either choose a leather color that will work w. 'Black' trim or pay to have all the trim also covered in that same leather!

In actual expense, 'Leather-to-Sample' is not much more expensive to do than the regular (e.g 'Espresso' or 'Garnet Red') special/natural leather interior. 'Espresso' or 'Garnet' is currently US$1510 extra. LtoS is US$1750 extra. And is less than Espresso/Cognac two tone - US$1940! But the fact is that L-to-S is seldom ordered because so little is known about it...plus the risk of how it will look when it's all set & done. I am a big fan of L-to-S when done right!

See attached photos of 997 Turbo done in L-to-S!

But isn't it great that someone can choose to do that if it pleases them? I think so.
Eduardo, I'm almost done with my build. I'll contact you before the order locks and thanks in advance again for sharing your knowledge and experience...
