Interesting. I've been to your beautiful state many times and have driven it top to bottom and east to west. Curious what each of those places is analogous to in California in your mind.

Alps : central Sierra Nevada snow capped 14,500 ft above sea level
Sahara : Death Valley 200 ft below sea level
Oklahoma :Southern San Joaquin Valley /Bakersfield ag and oil fields , pick ups ,guns, Merle Haggard/Buck Owens homebase
Iowa : Central San Joaquin Valley largest $$$ value anywhere in world of crops incl wheat, corn, alfalfa ,tree crops and row crops ; overalls and tractors ; birthplace of today's Kentucky Derby winning horse : California Chrome
South Beach : coastal LA/OC/LaJolla
Poorest Appalacia : northern California foothills and mountains: rusted trailers, meth lab central , guys who look like Rasputin
Coastal Rain Forest : Medicino
English moors : central Coast during winterstorm or with summer fog
Also :
New England : Eureka
Bordeaux : Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Santa Ynez
French Riviera : Santa Barbara
Lake Como , Alfalfi Coast of Italy : Lake Tahoe and its historic wooden boats that still ply the waters
where else can you in typical January day, driving your own car , ski in 25 degree weather at 7000 ft in am, lunch in 85 degree desert on way back to surf in ocean in PM and go clubbing in 70 degree weather that night from atop skyscraper in West LA
Several politicians have wanted to break up the state into 6-7 new ones .....never gonna happen.

Indeed the ducktail break light is clear with my standard red tails.
It looks fine and blends in (such a thin break light)

In my very short tenure on RL I've come to the conclusion that it is about diversity... Different folks, different strokes and different opinions.... Makes it interesting but most importantly shows different appreciation of a fundamentally phenomenal car in just about any guise.
Car looks great and would turn my head any day!

Nothing Un Rennlist at all with your car. It looks amazing.
I didn't have the acorns to buy a red 991. A red 78-79 SC or a 90 C2, yea. I've actually been shopping for a project car for a while in red. And no sunroof.
The aerokit looks great my friend! I'm not a hug fan of the ducktail but in red it looks great. Says, welcome to the club if you ask me.
Nice.

Congrats Walter! My first Porsche was a 1986 944 One of the best handling cars of that era. When I traded it in for a 1988 911 Targa I thought to myself when comparing the two - pretty noisy even with the roof on and one finicky handling vehicle to say the least.
Enjoy it in good health. You will love every minute!
