Thanks, all. Consensus seems to be a week. I will connect the Porsche tender when I get home tonight.

Don't be surprised if it "runs" for 2-4 days before turning off. Normal for first time.

The 991 can go a long time parked if it is locked. The system goes to sleep and can easily be parked for well over a month. Check with your dealer. Don't compare with BMW. They are now being sold with a battery tender already installed.

7 days if the car is in 70 degree temperatures. 3 days if in below freezing temperatures.

I just wrote about this here because this is a subject I know a LOT about.

When I first got it, I got a gel-cell Battery Tender for it that I kept on it whenever I wasn't riding it. The day I sold it, it still had the original battery in it and it still started like brand new. You did know that many BMWs have gel-cell batteries, right?
The Tender I use claims to charge gel, also. My first BMW, a '94 RSL, came with its own BMW charger. Continual use seemed to make no difference in that battery life either.

I don't think so.
