Why Leipzig?
Vic 50th:
I leave in 12 days to get mine via Euro Delivery in Leipzig - can hardly wait!
Will have to have a Lower Mainland-Island get-together sometime!
Cheers[/QUOTE]
Why Leipzig? I am finalizing my ED for the fall.... why not Zuffenhausen?
Thanks for your input.

I'm getting Ken from Autowerkes Exclusive in Maple Ridge to do it. It is a little far from Vancouver, but I wanted him to take the wheels off and Opti-Coat everything.
I'm picking up the car on Saturday and will provide feedback.

Hi JUPJAI,
The advantage to Leipzig delivery is the program includes time on the Leipzig track with a Porsche instructor - in "... a car similar to your car", i.e. you are not taking your car from the delivery garage onto the track. The disadvantage is you don't get the 911 factory tour as part of the delivery experience (we are dropping off in Zuffenhausen to make up for this), but you do get to see Panameras, Cayennes, and Macans being built!. Also, my sales associate felt the hotel choices in Leipzig were superior to those in Zuffenhausen, but of course that is secondary to all the rest!
For me, personally, Leipzig is an incredibly important place to visit with respect to JS Bach - he spent the last 27 years of his life in Leipzig, some people would say the most important years.

The Leipzig delivery is really nice, the test track experience in a 991S will be astonishing.
The city with its beautiful, historic "Kontorhaeuser" is worth a journey alone - don't forget to have dinner in "Auerbachs Keller", the place which inspired Goethe for Faust I&II in 1625 and still today has to offer a large variety of high-class regional Saxonian delicacies.
Enjoy your stay!

Jupjai, if you're looking for someone to detail your car, I'd recommend Ken from Autowerkes. I'm pretty happy with the job he did on my car, and found out today that Terrence from Glossworks does some work for him as well. Both those guys are good. Maple Ridge is far from Vancouver, but if you don't need compounding or polishing, he can go to you if you have a place for him to work.

So, I picked up the car on Saturday and had planned on taking a lot of photos and make a detailed video review of the car. But then I realized that I had only logged 60 km on the car to date and it was sunny when I got the car and rain was expected later that evening, lasting a couple of days. So, I decided to take a quick video and drive the car instead.
This is my first attempt at making a video with iMovie, please forgive the amateur quality.

Edit: Video again

You should! I got inspired by SM_ATL's and Money2536's threads. Plus this is a nice format to keep a running diary for my car.
I have an appointment to drop the car off on Wednesday night, the detailed will work on it Thursday, and I'll go pick it up and take pictures on Saturday. I hope the weather will cooperate this weekend.

Thanks Matt. I take inspiration from you and Serge.
I used my phone for that first video. Samsung Galaxy S5.
I'll use my GoPro cameras and phone for future videos.
