Default RichardC's 911-50 Number 1443

I got an unexpected call from my sales guy at the Porsche Centre Vancouver today.

Quick pictures for now. I asked that they not detail the car, so I will post better pictures after the weekend when I have a chance to bring it in to get detailed and Opti-Coated.

I'm having problems uploading photos. Will play around to get it working. Until then, there's pictures at 6speedonline that managed to go online.

Lol. When I went to look at cars at the dealership before I ordered, I went with a bright flashlight and inspected the cars waiting to be delivered. The swirls were fairly prominent, so I asked that they not detail the car.

Second attempt at photos.

Great build! Another 7MT/no sunroof 50. Beautiful car, congrats.

You've inspired me to start my own intro thread for my 50. Just need to pull a few photos together.

You should! I got inspired by SM_ATL's and Money2536's threads. Plus this is a nice format to keep a running diary for my car.

I have an appointment to drop the car off on Wednesday night, the detailed will work on it Thursday, and I'll go pick it up and take pictures on Saturday. I hope the weather will cooperate this weekend.

Yea,

I forgot to add that the no sunroof option is great. Most prefer a sun roof but whenever I scan the classifieds for 78-79 911 SC's I try to look for a non sunroof car for a project.

When I bought my car new the dealer had a C4S with almost all the options I wanted and no sunroof. He said the car had sat for months because no one wanted it because it had no sun roof. I wanted it bad but it was more money and I was already thinking F430.

Again, beautiful 911-50 build !!!

Enjoy.

Congrats, Richard!
Enjoy her in good health.

Our builds are not too dissimilar - I do like a SR, and got some extra leather bits and pieces, but did not go for LED's or Spasm.
I leave in 12 days to get mine via Euro Delivery in Leipzig - can hardly wait!
Will have to have a Lower Mainland-Island get-together sometime!

Cheers

Sounds good to me if you bring some Pagliacci house bread. I went to law school in Victoria and used to eat there a lot.

Enjoy your Euro delivery and post lots of pictures.

Will try to post from the road! Looking forward to the Black Forest, a few alpine passes (though some will certainly not be open yet), and lots rural B roads!
Expect the car here in Victoria ?mid-July assuming transport goes smoothly.

Will check out Pagliacci's again - haven't been there for years.
