Default Seat weights

Trying to finalize an order. Searched several forums. I can't find seat weights anywhere. Must exist. I see lots of discussion on widths, bolsters, and adjustments. Occasionally someone will say get the manual ones to save weight, but there are never any reliable numbers, just guesses. Can anyone definitively say what the weights of these seats are?

leather sport seats
leather sport plus - 4 way
leather sport plus - 18 way

Any help would be appreciated greatly. Thanks

From an older post:

Adaptive Sport Seats 128.0 lbs.
Regular Sport Seats 97.2 lbs.
GT2 style Sport Buckets 67.0 lbs.
CGT style Sport Buckets 45.8 lbs.

So basically, about 30lb difference between the lightest and heaviest seat you can get in a 991 in the US (I do wish we could get the buckets for the weight savings and the bracing on a track!). Consider that a full tank of gas will weigh over 100lb and ask yourself, can you really tell the difference between a full and half tank of gas in how the car handles? Any sunroof option will have much more impact on the center of gravity.

I had the regular seats in a Boxster Spyder and the 'lack of adjustments' didn't bother me. I now have the 18 ways in a 991 and I almost never change the settings. I still find myself bracing myself when cornering, so it's not like the 18 ways grip you that much more. I'm not sure it's worth paying a premium for either the 18 or even 14 way seats when the regular sport seat will be just as good most of the time.

I would go to a dealer and spend time, or get a test drive in the regular sports seats. If they don't bother you, don't get the 14 or 18 way...

At my first Driver Skills (the one where Leeds refunded everyone when no instructors showed up) I got the bright idea that since there was so much understeer it would help to run out to the Texaco and put some more gas in the tank. Well like I said there were no instructors around to tell me I was causing my own problem with too much throttle too early. Anyway yes the difference in handling was obvious to me, and that was then, way before learning anything. If you can't notice 80 lbs in a Porsche- anywhere - you're just not paying attention.

I'm not saying ~30lb *doesn't* affect the car at all, it's just for many people, this will be unnoticeable and not affect their enjoyment of their car at all.

Weight is a slippery slope, you can remove all the deadening, get PCCB's, get a lithium battery, never carry a passenger, delete the AC, delete the Nav and Bose, delete the sunroof, replace the stock exhaust with straight through tubes, remove the back seats. Or you can just drive the car and enjoy it.

People who worry that Xenon headlights might be slightly heavier than LED headlights are never going to be happy IMHO (and will get destroyed by the first ~500lb heavier GTR they meet on a track).

Thank you. The weights were just what I was looking for. It's just one parameter in a long list to think over. I'm not going to track the car, but I also don't want needless weight, or to pay for things I'd would never miss if they weren't there.

I weighed my 991.2 T Sport Seat Plus driver side at 50.2lbs. SportTex if that matters, with heaters.

Thanks-that sounds about right based on when I removed mine (4 ways out of a t). If it was 90+lbs I would have been surprised.

I second that. I removed my 2019 991.2 4 way sport driver seat to clean under it and it was NOT 97 lbs. It was closer to 50lbs. Next time it is out I will hold it and step onto my bathroom scale.
