Default Finally saw some winter

Up here north of Seattle near the border we haven't seen much snow this season. Yesterday we got hammered (for us) and a car I drove to work at 6am was covered by 6pm in a hard icy crust with drifting snow everywhere.

Car started right up, defrosted quickly and she climbed right over the snow plow ridge in front of my parking space. Very proud of the little gal. Finally got to really use the snow tires. They work great on a 991, and the traction control pretty much lets you stomp on it and keeps her straight (only tried this briefly . Great fun. Had to post a pic. Cheers, no school today canceled from snow woohoo!

Bought a new "Honda" in September, but thought I'd never get to use it this year - couldn't resist trying it out!

Only a few inches about 50 miles south of you on the Olympic Peninsula.

I'm off to salt our walkways as I type. Well, after I type. Am expecting Google to drop off an Explorer Edition Glass today by 10:30 am..but maybe not with the snow. Hmm..

OMG your the second 991 owner in the last 24hr here that has told me how much fun their having driving in this snow!!! You 40 somethings are both nuts IMO ..... there are so many latte sipping **** cell phone soccer moms in SUV's driving around here in 4WD for the first time ever like it was 80F and sunny. Be careful!!!!!
BTW I can't seem to find the snow/ice traction button in my 991.....

Keep us posted on the Google Glasses, Back to the Future II is here. Tell me you aren't going to drive the 991 with them on?? in snow

Speaking of winter driving, what do ppl do to get the wet packed sand/salt from inside the fender well lips? Just did a quick ONR wash in the garage and couldn't believe how much gunk was packed up under there. I ended up leaving most of it (for now) because I was concerned that by scrubbing it out I'd be gringing it into the paint/primer/whatever is there.

Great pics Nicoli.

How far up are you? Bellingham?

Nice GoogGlass. You are right. It looks almost exactly like Apple packaging with down to the font used.

I just try to wash the car when it warms up enough, that's all I know.

Thanks Marcus, we are all the way up, there are a few little communities scattered around the county up here and a great Porsche dealer, Roger Jobs. Here are some pics from this morning's coffee run. I let the girls try on Glass, they were having so much fun they forgot to make coffee and the cars were lining up. They passed it along to each other and one figured out how to take a picture pretty easily. Fun stuff.

Accidental pic giving Glass to the coffee baristas.

They took a pic immediately with no instruction at all

annnd the drive home..

This Glass is neat.

Howdy,

post 4 here, and some other various threads if you search on 'phone mount' or 'iphone mount' or something, (man, that thread..miss ya Gary..) but quickly can say it's a custom bracket from a seattle shop (benchmark) with a ProClip lightning mount attached.
