Default SpeedTech 991 exhaust system

We are pleased and excited to announce our recently completed SpeedTech Porsche 991 X-cellerator exhaust design - 100% T-304 stainless steel, manufatured in the USA. The total system weight with the two dual mufflers, tips and hardware is only 28 lbs. A full muffler bypass X-Pipe is also available for a louder "race" sound and additional weight savings.

Our center muffler delete X-Pipe, designed to be used with the OEM side mufflers is currently under development and will be completed later this week.

As with all systems in our X-cellerator line of exhausts, our new 991 model relies on our proprietary "X" design at the core for it's exotic sound and the system is modular with other 991 components, such as the muffler bypass pipes. This allows the user to swap components, thereby altering the sound level as desired for special events, track days, rallies, etc.

Here's a couple of pictures -

Also, can this be used with the stock tips on a base 3.4?

Hi Justin,

The complete system pictured above can not be used with the OEM tips - it is a full 2.5" diameter exhaust (including the tips), which is a slightly larger diameter than the OEM mufflers/tips, so the tips are not interchangable.

A "Center Muffler Delete X-Pipe" is currently being developed to take the place of the OEM center muffler, which can and will be used in conjunction with the OEM side mufflers & OEM tips.

We are offering a special introductory price on a limited number of systems, then we will have an ongoing Rennlist Member Discount program, as with all of our exhausts. I will PM you the details of the introductory pricing.

Best Regards,

John

We bundle the softronic tunes with our exhausts. I am not showing a Softronic tune available for the 991 DFI cars yet, but I will confirm on Monday...the last I knew it was being developed and close to completion.

So this bolts in where my center exhaust is now, correct? Does it change the non-PSE sound? I like it quiet when I want it quiet What is the Softronic tune?

Yes it mounts in the same area as the center muffler and eliminates the side mufflers. It will change the sound - we are sound testing late this week or early next week, but it should be louder than OEM, as we use full 2.5" piping, which is larger than the factory pipe sizes. If you look at the OEM system closely, you will see the piping starts out as 2.5" but becomes very small diameter as the system progresses, especially on the PSE system. This system is designed to be a performance exhaust - it has higher flow and is light weight vs. any of the OEM systems offered. Our signature "X" design, which is carried over from our 996 & 997 models will provide a distinctive, exotic sound, as well.

Softronic is a major tuner in the Porsche market. We offer their tunes/flashes in conjunction with our exhausts.

Weight savings = 25 lbs.

This system made an additional 15HP same day/same dyno on a very conservative Mustang dyno. I don't have a copy of the dyno sheet yet, it was just dynoed a few hours ago by an independant third party. The word from the shop was the system made very good power and sounded fantastic...they were excited and very happy with it.
