Found this post really helpful as I was tracking down a rattle in my door. Hope it helps anyone else who wants to remove the door card.

I had taken my car in to have one of the speakers in the door fixed (the wiring to the speaker had come off). When it was returned, the door panel was loose and I had a significant rattle. Found the link above, took the door panel off, and I found that one of the rubber grommets had come off and was sitting inside the door panel. Total, it took 20 min, and took care of the annoying rattle. I wish I had found the link sooner because I would have been able to fix the speaker myself and save the time it took to make the trip to the dealership.
