Default 991 Hood Protectors

I think these are very nice. Better than the whole lid protectors on the 997s, IMO. I plan to order one soon.

i rarely put anything in the front so something like this, as a protective measure, has little value for me. is there any other purpose it serves?

Ah, their old website didn't say anything yet about the 991 model.

I don't get it. What is it protecting the lid from?

it would theoretically protect the lid if it was to be closed with something large.

I was thinking more along the lines of protecting it from something being thrown up into the lid when going over a bump.

So I am thinking again about getting this liner. Is there someone on this site that has actually damaged their trunk lid closing it? Is this a solution in search of a problem, or are there many 991 owners who have wished that they had installed this on their car the day before slamming the hood on an upside down bar stool?

Ounce of protection prevents a ton of cure.
