Congrats! Can't wait to see pics!

4S for sure. I too would opt for the 7MT, but understand the PDK requirement

contrarian point of view

Base vs S is about $14k
Yes S is a bit faster and got bigger brakes
But for a daily driver dose it make any difference to u? All of my commute is street driving and I hardly get past 3000 rpm - so I got a base and with PDK and chrono sport steering 0-60 is faster then S with a MT and higher mpg.
Test drive and see for your self.

And you'll get a lot of that $14 back come resale/trade time.

Oh, wow, great philosophy! I like that. Post of the day.

Congrats on the new car! I was quite taken with it when I first saw it as well, but I can't quite operate on a whim that way. More power to you!

Here in Switzerland Coupe are almost all "S". On the ragtops side, there's quite a few 3.4 L, even with 4WD.
Let's see with Targas. Anyway, no X51 and SPASM subject with this model.

Make sure you get sport chrono and sport exhaust. That targa is the sweetest car I have seen in a while. If they really stop making 7MT cars I might have to buy one CPO when my current lease is up and make it my first ever "long termer". Guards Red of course...

I was going to say go with the 4S, but after those pics Zohan posted I'm going to keep my opinion to myself!!

Exactly why I would advise to get an S - I found torque below 3k RPM sorely lacking during my drive around-town in a zero option 991C2 with MT, and the AWD Targa with PDK will be a much heavier vehicle.

But I agree that one should test drive to decide...

I'd get the S with this model. It's a heavier car and has is a 4wd weight. For a standard coupe used as a driver, base is fine, I had a 997.2 base manual and it was MORE than fast enough around town. The 991 is lighter and a little more power. Then again I sold it and bought a GT3RS...go figure.

I just can't get over the fact some guys have NO reservations whatsoever about posting pics of guns in this international forum 8-)

I wonder how I am going to counter that cultural difference. Maybe I'll start posting pics of sex toys ...

LOL
