Default White Smoke during start up -991C2S

A few months back I leased a 2013 991C2S manual. I have 2 questions:

1. Sometimes, when I start the car/engine in the morning for a few minutes I get a white smoke. Is that normal? Anything to worry about or should I have the dealer look into it?

2. When I am done driving the car on a regular commute I can smell a slight burning smell. I am used to driving a manual. Not sure if this is typical and needs to be looked into. Could it be the clutch or something else? Everything seems to OK on the car.

Any advice or insight is much appreciated.

If it's white and last for a couple minutes as you said, it is probably just water vapor from the combustion process. All cars will do this, especially in cold weather. Sometimes these engines will have a burst of blue smoke upon initial start-up that is oil burning. That is pretty "normal" for the flat six, but doesn't seem to be what you are describing.

The burning smell could be cosmoline on the engine and exhaust burning off, if Porsche still uses that. A lot of people report a burning smell from their 911, so I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it is extreme and gets worse.

Both sound pretty normal and typical.

Exactly. Now if it is smoking after you have been driving for awhile, that's a different matter that requires immediate attention.

Got the burning smell too when I borrowed a brand new loaner C2S. I'd just cleared a toll booth and decided to give it some beans and the higher rev's clearly gave all the new components a good spanking. I'd say is wasn't so much a caustic burning smell, more like the warm aroma of automotive materials
