Seems like alcantara holds up better now adays. I used to keep the alcantara wheels from my racecars, still have a few and they look ok but the Porsche ones I've seen look great after a lot of street use. I ordered the wheel from Porsche but am going to install the shifter from suncoastparts which happens to be cheaper.
