Default Brake compatibility question...

Hi all,

A long shot, but worth a try...

Are the OEM pads & rotors of a 997.2 base model compatible with the pads & rotors of a 991 base model?

I have a set off my 2012 997.2 and am thinking of buying a 991. Just curious if I can keep them and use them or have to sell them.

As always, thank you all in advance!

Steve

They are not the same unfortunately. You have to order 991 specific pads, and for the time being that is either the OEM pad or the Pagid 29 track pad.

Rotor dimensions are also different than the 997.

Of course, why would anyone make life simple???

Guess the best way to sell them is locally as they weigh a lot and shipping will be prohibitive.

Thanks again!
