Default 991 heating not working

So last week it got cold in Miami for the first time and I wanted to put the cabin at 76 degrees, needless to say the air still came out blowing a cool 63 degrees. Turned the air con off, put temp to HI, put into recirculating and still cool air coming out of the vents. I could not get warm air at all.

Any ideas?

Will take it to the dealer next week, but was wondering if I was doing anything wrong.

I heard there is a Major Recall with the 991. Dealers are taking the 991's back and giving Customer 996's because my Heat still works lol just take it in and Warranty it man.

It is not an uncommon problem. Apparently the vents sometime the vents have a problem opening on some cars. Dealer has the tool/guage whatever to diagnose the problem.

I had the same frustrating issue a few weeks ago. Dealer replaced heater control valve. Fairly quick warranty repair...works great now!

Becoming common. Vacuum switching valve for heater core bypass more than likely. One of the 5-8 for the cooling system depending on the version of 991. Warranty. Dealer. Go.

At the dealer as we speak. I know that having the first year of the new model I will be the Guinea Pig for all the little problems, and I have. However, the quality of the service I have received by The Collection in Miami is fantastic, so I have no complaints whatsoever. Today I got a CayenneS Hybrid with 1600miles as a loaner, cannot complain, although I wish they had the Caymans for loaners.

Did dealer repair heat issue? I only drove my 991 twice, but I seem to recall that even with temp set pretty high, I was still feeling cool air come out of the vents. I probably need to bring it in for a check

Porsche figured you don't need any more heat in Miami

My service adviser called this morning to say Porsche had just released a TSB today. He confirmed it is the solenoid as most of these threads already reported.

Good to know. When I get back to the States, I'm going to confirm my initial suspicion that the heat was working properly last time I drove the car (early Jan) and then head over to dealer for fix. Assuming, of course, that the three feet of snow blocking my garage in northern NJ has melted. Like Bruce says, "I've got high hopes"

Glad I found this thread so I didn't have to start a new one.

Heater not working on my 2014 991 C2. Just stopped. Only cold air.

Will take it back to the dealer for a fix. Annoying as it was just there for another fix to the high pressure fuel pump.

I guess my car is being affected by all the common recall items.
