Use Armor All Wheel Protectant spray. This will greatly reduce your dirty wheels and make future cleanings faster and easier.

I have used Akebono on a 2010 Rangie Sport and the wheels were always clean, Carbotech on my Mini JCW and 2011 GT3 with same results and superior performance relative to braking, however there is no application available from either of those suppliers for 991. Can't seem to get them to reply and can't find any other suppliers!

I aways wax my wheels, barrels and outside, with a heat resistant polymer sealant and it helps a lot. And I never have to clean them with anything stronger than the car wash I use on the paint.
But it is hard to keep up with soft Porsche pads.

I have the standard silver "S" wheels and have to clean them every time the car goes out. When it needs a set of tires the wheels will get powder coated........done.

A few years ago I was looking/considering ceramic pads for my 911. Found some but when I looked at the specifications found their maximum operating temperature was lower than normal pads.

Just be sure to go back to your stock pads (or better) if you intend to do any track days or serious canyon racing. Those low dust pads melt off quickly when they get hot, and that's why Porsche doesn't use them as OEM.
