2015 991 911 cab Spec- Please advise on some Q's
Hello Fellow Porsche Enthusiasts,
I have been enjoying my Ordered Guards red 981 Boxster S, PDK , pSe etc but will be replacing it in Summer of 2014 with a 2015 991 Cab, Black with black interior . I like the planted feel of 991 over Boxster and its more refined ride and superior wind management over my 981
My Spec
1) 991 base cab ( i am more than happy with 991 3.4 engine )
2) PDK, Sport chrono, PSE and PASM ( love it for ride and increased firmmess in sport mode) )
3) Red seat belts, center console painted black, hopefully new heated Steering wheel and rear view camera from macan, sport chrono in red, prem package plus with Adaptive seats ( have them in my 981 and love those seats), S wheels painted black
Few Qs
1) Is full leather worth it in black ? ( with full leather contrasted stiching in white looks nice )
2) What about PTV?, where would i notice this feature in Daily driving?
3) any one has pics of S wheels painted black ?
4) Is Burmester worth 5k over Base ?
5) Finally is the C4 all that better in rain / on wet roads since i feel the 911 engine provides lotsa traction for rear wheels
Thanks in advance for your replies and feedback

Burmiester is great I'm sure but the engine is intoxicating in the cab, and usually wins my attention over the stereo. It's that good. These cars, whew, they are amazing. Congrats!

Okay I can answer two questions for you, if you are an audio person the 5k for the Burmester is definitely worth it! I have put many an expensive stereo in aftermarket and spent more than that! So if audio is important and especially since it's a Cab and money is no object it is definitely worth it!!!
Next and this is personal preference but I had a 997 with full black leather and to me it was worth it for the smell alone! And yes the white contrasting stitching looks amazing to me as well!
Good luck with your order I am waiting for the Targa reveal at the Detroit autos how on Jan 17th that very well maybe my next one!

I have the full leather and would not consider anything less. Deviated stitching is also a must for me. It can get expensive if you do all of it but a few touches really add a lot.
I have the Bose upgrade and do not consider myself an audio person but really wish I had the Burmester. With the top down it really loses a lot of volume and isn't really worth listening to. Of course the motor is great. The sport exhaust is also a must from a music aspect.

i would add that from a traction standpoint, i have no problems with rainy weather and my c2s. it's hilly and wet here and i just don't notice any traction problems. never hurts to have awd, but it is certainly not required.
