If they know about it and aren't automatically replacing then I sure hope its a situation where its impossible for more than very small amounts to leak very slowly. Otherwise you could find yourself overheating driving across a desert a hundred miles from service and a long dry walk instead of a nice cool drive ahead of you. You initially said it was like a cup of liquid under the car. Lucky for you it was noticed parking not driving. Any idea what the leak rate was?

I do not Chuck. My wife had driven the car and I noticed it in the am. The strange thing to me is that there were no warning lights even after loosing the coolant. it was a very large cup, at least half a gallon.
The other thing is that i was waiting for the car to tell me when service/oil change is due. I have 10k miles and the car is over a year old, but the vehicle info center was telling me a service wasn't due until 2017….
thanks
