When will they start taking orders for the 2015 model year?

Would partially depend on what allocations your dealer had and when they were for.

why is 2015 different than 2014? I placed an order for my 2014 on 4/20/13

I'm thinking 2015 production will start in July as did 2014 production start about July '13. This might get a few cars into North America by late September or so.

My 2014 build was started on June 10. It was at my dealer on July 16

My 2014 991 was ordered in Mid-June (in production late July) and delivered in October 2013. According to my dealer, my2014 was opened since May.
