I’m considering selling my 50a. Can you guys give me some idea what the value is? It’s by no means a garage queen, but if someone were looking for a 50a to drive with no guilt, it’s a fantastic car.
The Bad:
-44k Miles
-Carfax ding for “minor accident” where the previous owner backed into his garage wall. Bumper cover was replaced. Paint match on new bumper is probably 90%. In most conditions you can’t tell, but in certain light if you’re an attention freak like me, you can notice a slight difference. This didn’t stop the Porsche dealer from CPOing it.
-Some rock chips in the usual places. The previous owner broke down and PPF’d most of the car at some point so it’s protected now.
The Good:
Fantastic build
PDCC
PDK
18-way sport seats
Entery and go
Park assist front and rear (yeah, that sure didn’t help the previous owner)
No sunroof
Apple CarPlay modded head unit
high-end stereo install (there’s a thread I started on this a couple years ago if you’d like to see it)
Interior is in great condition
Overall the car is beautiful. Gets complements everywhere it goes. So what would an expected private sale price be on a fantastic 50a with higher miles and a minor car fax ding be?
I will take a stab dont hate on me
Sub 10k mile cars are up from a year ago 110-20s.
I sold a year ago a 6k mile 155 msrp for just over 100 it was perfect
you pointed out your negatives. Mileage carfax plus minus on pdk. Pdk does suits this car. Geyser is a plus. Wholesale only 1 car has gone through in august.
i d guess dealer would offer low 70s. The right buyer might be at mid 80s but i got tired of tire kickers. If you are anywhere near doug or jon sabo with switchcars i would reach out. They are cery fair and honest. I can also tell u which specialty dealer is full of it. My advice is sell before 60th anniversary comes out. I guess it will be a nice package. Good luck looks like nice car.

Let me ask you guys. How would you choose between the 50 in manual or the GT3 both in 2014 and under 10k km? Prices are very similar at this 2021 market.
The paint in one of my letters fell off during a detail. Where it’s says “Limited Edition #….”
Any idea how to re-color this? My only idea is a super fine brush and model paint. I haven’t found anybody local who could do it (north Atlanta).
I highly recommend you keep looking since the costs to replace this special order item/part will run approximately $3200 bucks. I reached out to Porsche Parts and they will require the VIN#. If this happened to my coupe I would locate the paint that closely matches (Red or Black) color/s. The best way to paint the logo is by removing the cup holder and lay it on a flat level surface so the paint fills the cavity evenly. Good luck.

I actually had this same problem with mine. I looked at a bunch of different places and different solutions. I was ready to bite the bullet and buy a new cupholder and went to my SA to determine pricing. She took a look at it and was determined to help me out. She took the back end of a plastic toothpick and some black paint from a mobile detailer and with a steady hand filled it in on the spot! It looks perfect!
No charge no fuss. Shout out to Chelsea from Stevens Creek Porsche
Ugh! I got my first super small baby scratch on the back of my car, no clue how and I want to throw up. Did you guys wrap your entire cars? She just hit 14,400 miles. I know I am nuts but please help lol! It's killing me. I have the front wrapped in PPF, door jams, wheel wells and side mirrors. Just trying to figure out if I should fix it or let it go, car is pretty mint!
