Just got my winter set up done on my 2013 C4S with SPASM and PDCC. Went from stock Sport Techno rims and tires to BBS CH-R with titanium finish and Michelin PA4's. I also put on 5mm spacers in the front and 7mm spacers in the back. The ride is so much more compliant! I went from 31PSI front and 34PSI rear (summer set up) to 33PSI front and 35PSI rear (winter set up).

Yeah, my other winter set up costs a little more than that! But, I needed winter tires because I didn't want to have issues when the temp dipped around freezing and there was a bit of dew/moisture. I don't plan to drive my C4S in snow, but it is my daily driver. Yes, dealers notoriously put 36F/44R. Unless you routinely hit speeds north of 165mph, it is unnecessary. Thats why when I had them install these I told them the tire pressure I wanted. If you look at page i believe it is page 262 in the drivers manual suggested partial load on comfort setting is 31F/34R (http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/...6/262/Pressure). I drove mine for a few weeks at 36F/44R and I got really nervous, because the ride quality sucked! Give 31F/34R a shot and let me know what you think.

I put the same wheels and tires on my car a few weeks ago in 19 inch. Bought Porsche center caps painted to match the wheels from a vendor in the Netherlands. Cost me 225 or 250 Euros or about $300. Good luck. I am also in the US. I wasted $160 on factory center caps that I thought might work, but they didn't. So rather then chance it on another pair or vendor, I just ordered from the European vendor on a Monday and had them at my door on Thursday of that same week.

 

Hey naaranha, not trying to give you a hard time but if you're really doing all this just to be ready for temps "around freezing" and "there's a bit of dew/moisture" well that's not winter! That's a fashion statement!

whats even better than my wheel package on the explorer is that my winter brakes dont squeal!!!
