Correct about my 2 year wait. That wait was not from Porsche. That deposit was to put me at the top of the wait list for MY dealer. My dealer is the largest in Canada so my thought process was to go ahead with the deposit to get the first one in Canada. It worked and I was. Still 2 years is 2 years. Of course I had my 997.2 S which made the wait a lot easier.

I very highly doubt Porsche is somehow artificially creating additional build times. That makes no sense. My car arrived 2+ weeks early. How long your wait will be purely depends on timing, and probably which 991 variant you're ordering.
I agree that Porsche does not artificially create longer build times. My previous order also came in several weeks early. My sense is that Porsche build times are longer than others (eg. BMW) but wait times and production volume are usually inversely proportional.

Bacura, congratulations on being the first in Canada to receive a 50th.
It would be great if Porsche provided lucky owners with a certificate
to attest that specific models are the first in each country. Would be helpful for future valuations.

Waiting just makes the delivery day so much more exciting!!

My C2S was completed last Friday and is on its way to the ship!! Hopefully she will be here early!

...Wait a minute, I still have over a month and a half to go... Never mind, waiting sucks.

The delivery wait is tough, no doubt about it. "Good things come to those who wait."

Do any Midwesterners here have any experience on the timeframe to get shipped from port to the dealer? Mine is coming into Davisville, RI and is heading to Springfield, IL.
