Not sure how the rear light were smoked like that. It's done so well I couldn't tell if it was tinted or if there is a film. Doesn't look that dark in real life.
Anyway
Asking price 108K, offered 100K, countered 104.5K
The car is exactly how I would option it except for the color (white would have been preferred) but that color is gorgeous in real life.

I think 100-104 looks like a great deal for a really well done car!

I also wondering how you got to 98K
I do agree that one shouldn't consider the techart and radar as part of the MSRP. Not sure how much residual value to attribute on aftermarket parts. That's why it's a tough decision but the car is really well built. Very tasteful.
by the way the alternative is to stick with my GT3 deposit. I'm up next on the list and should have an allocation by the end of the year according to my dealer. Couldn't find a left over new 2013 I had to have even at 20K off MSRP.

personally, i'd wait for the gt3, mostly cause you can build it perfectly to taste, and you aren't getting a screaming deal at 100-104k anyways. only thing that hurts you is the wait...

I don't know how you could compare the two cars with respect to both price and performance. I presume the dealer knows that you are on the list for a GT3 so he has other considerations such as how much more he will make on the GT3 or if he has another buyer for the GT3 so he wants you to take this car, etc. Is this car certified and thereby have an extended warranty? I also agree that the aftermarket options add little to the value of the car so I would be all in at the 100K, if not less.

ok, assume that you can get 10% off on a NEW one, so $117 - 10% = $105k. Then you figure this is used w/ 3500miles and the warranty clock is ticking, so deduct 7-10%? lets say 8%. so about $96.
Now comes the hard part as Mods are hard to price. the radar dectector packaging looks GREAT. Techart is also great but I think its overpriced. The OEM aerokit is like $6k. SO, if you value the mods at 50% thats about $8k. Therefore $96+$8= $104k!
So, IMHO, i think youre in the ballpark and a couple K's shouldnt get in the way of a deal especially if its spec'ed to your liking. Perhaps $102k?
Did i mention how I liked that radar dectector?!

I think you're overly worried about getting the "perfect" price. The price is clearly in the ballpark, the car is beautiful, you like it - so make a deal and get in the left seat. You won't look back.

^^^ agreed. If you buy the wrong car, you will always regret the entire purchase price of $100k+. If you buy the right car that you love, you'll never think about a couple $thousand one way or the other.
The car looks great, nice specs. btw, I place zero value (particularly residual value) on the aftermarket stuff.

Since it is a consignment, I would ask if the seller has a car on order. If that is the case the sale price of the car will probably not go below:
Trade-in amount (basically wholesale) + sales tax savings on new vehicle.
Just my opinion, of course.
Best, Bret.

The owner does have a TTS on order which is why the car is there on consignment. In fact they apparently never do consignment at that dealership but did it for this customer because he's bought 8 porsches in the last few years.
I do agree that a couple of K's here and there isn't going to make a difference but they didn't take my offer for 100K and countered 4.5K higher which is significant.
Anyway - finally asked the wife what I should do and she said "buy a white car" =)
