Default Prices on 2013s

So now that I've been convinced that I have to have a P car (again)

What do you think is an appropriate discount for a 2013 today?

Looking for a C4S cab, and going into winter I'm thinking is a good time to get one.

10-15% off MSRP?

Thanks

Jeff

More important is finding exactly what you want, even at 15% off it's a hell of alot of money to "settle" for what is left. Additionally, I've seen some pretty fair short term leases if you don't want to buy the entire cow.

Sadly the options you dont want aren't thrown in for free. Now if you can live with the color combo (and don't want a rare MT) and up the discount to 15 - 20%...................win-win.

Higher option car = higher discount. (Money Factor)

I recently leased a brand new 2013 991S M/T for 24 months. Agate Grey color w/black interiors. I was able to negoitate a ~16% discount off the MSRP of $114,660. The car was fairly nicely configured w/ SC, Glass sunroof, Premium Package Plus, SPASM among other options. Happy with the car and the deal.

Waivered quite a bit between leasing and financing. In the end, wanted an option to find something new (maybe 991.2) at the end of 24 months. Also, business tax deduction made it lucrative to lease the car - at least as my first Porsche.

This is my first Porsche car. I might get too used to driving a Porsche and might not be able to give it up at the end of 24 months.

I was about to say that 10% is the known markup from invoice to MSRP for Porsches. Any discount deeper than that indicates that "trunk money" is now available for 2013's.
Last year on 2012's it seemed to be $3000 starting sometime in September, then apparently went up to around $5000 and ended November 1. Many if not most dealers "punched" their remaining cars then to get the incentives. Kathuat's 16% is a smokin' deal.

So a quick update to this thread. I found that getting a 16% off isn't i possibe. I found half the dealers I reached out to were at the 15 to 16% range. What I found more interesting is that the perception of 7 to 9% markup may not actually be the case. I've had most of the dealers tell me that somewhere between 13-15% is what have actually have in the cars. Which I thought was fascinating.

i was able to get 15K off msrp (132K) and they shipped my car (guessing 1200 at least) on a left over 2013. it was optioned exactly as i would want it so i felt this was a good deal for me. santa barbara porsche has a few at 20K off but i didnt like the color (agate grey) even though it was well optioned (i think they still have at least that one left).

I got a bit over 17% off on my C4S cab today. It's been a dramatic few weeks in my garage, bought a Corvette C7 with the intention of lease transferring my C2S coupe. Found out that PFS is really bad with lease transfers - they don't actually take the original owner off the lease! this means the car has to be registered in both parties names, and I ended up deciding I couldn't do that. Sold the 660 mile old C7 for MSRP to a local dealer. That car was fun but was missing a lot of refinement compared to the 991.

Hard to explain, the C7 and I just did not connect. The steering was good, the brakes were great, the motor was fantastic (and even though it's not supposed to be a ton faster than a 991, it felt a LOT faster from behind the wheel). The Navi left a lot of functionality to be desired. I'll leave a review of that car in the C7 thread.

Anyway, with that debacle out of my way, I'd already mentally divorced myself from the 991 coupe as well, so went trying to figure out an appropriate replacement. Ended up trading it in for a new 2013 C4S cab. I'd regretted not getting a cab from the beginning and the 991 cab is so great. It has the insulation of a hardtop convertible but not the weight. I love the widebody look, too.

When I leased the 991 coupe, I really wanted SPASM, and searched long and hard for a car with it - gave up on PSE and the *** (adaptive sport seats) for it. Ended up wishing I'd gotten both... The C4S has them and both options are fantastic. The PSE has a beautiful exotic sounding wail - I just wish it were a little louder. (I had a Cargraphics X pipe on my coupe that bypassed the mufflers when the valves opened up so Ill likely put it on the new car too)

Anyhow, there are some ripping deals out there on leftover 2013s. I really wish I'd waited... I got a friend of mine the same 17% off on another 2013 C2S cab on the lot, later today as well. Ended up with basically the same payment on a much more optioned car (C4S cab vs C2S coupe).

FYI, buy rate is still 0.00200, I paid a slight markup because of the extreme discount (0.00220). 24 months was 72% residual at 7500 miles, 71% at 10k. 27 months was 69% on 10k and 70% on 7500. I did 27 counting that Porsche always had a pull ahead program so I'll likely utilize that so I don't pay that 3rd year of reg.
